Album Review- M.O.P. - Sparta
After a hiatus of a couple of years and a divorce from G-Unit, everyone's favorite street-hop artists from Brooklyn are back with another album full of street anthems. The Mash Out Posse may be best known for Ante Up which has become a de-facto breakdance/pop cultural icon but the Posse still remains as hood as ever and Sparta just aims to bring that feel they are known for back for 2011. Album Review- Lloyd Banks - Hunger For More 2
So for a while it seemed as if the entire G-Unit movement was over, save for 50 Cent holding on to his major label deal. Bansk and Yayo were dropped, Game was pushed back and damn near out and Buck is in contract purgatory. Then Banks hit pay dirt with last winter's "Beamer Benz or Bentley" and got a buzz going behind him. Finally, after negotiations, he is ready with his third solo album, "

B. Pump is a wack rapper but....(oh yeah NSFW)
Now it's been a few weeks since more than just porn fans could admit ever hearing Brian Pumper spit bars. Hell, even on porno boards Pumper has been the subject of plenty of jokes and no one has ever admitted to liking the guy in any way shape or form. I'm not about to buck the trend here so don't worry.

Artists I'd rather hear freestyle...
Listening to as many artists as I have in a while has shown me one thing, just because you can rap, doesn't mean you make good music. Being a good rapper and making good songs are totally independent of one another. For example, Nelly makes good songs, but he can't rap worth a damn. Canibus could rap and 'freestyle' his ass off but as far as songs, eh, not so much. See rappers have ill metaphors,

Album Review-50 Cent- Before I Self Destruct
Between beefs 50 cent does record albums. Lately, raps bad guy has thrown jabs at Jay-z, and more hooks to Rick Ross and Fat Joe in preparation for the release of his latest album, Before I Self Destruct. Some people say that 50 has fallen off but his music has remained consistent and relatively the same since he came out. The biggest problem other than the lack of advancement in subject matter,

Boss?
The big trend now is calling yourself a "boss" and creating your own record label. On the one hand I don't have a big problem with it, if you know what you're doing. Running a record label is empowering and the different types offer varying levels of independence balanced with exposure. Here is my biggest problem with rappers running labels, if you don't have a solid career yourself, why would you
