So I'm not into giving total album break downs to mix tapes but I have to figure out some way to incorporate them because they are so important in hip-hop these days. Pretty much everyone is putting out music every six months at this point. While there are inherent problems with that, this isn't about that aspect of it, this is about the music. So I profiled Iggy early on and got a lot of hits as she was obviously blowing up. Following her freshmen 10 cover I think she might be the breakout this year, not only is she white...she can rap a lil bit, but she signed a new deal with Grand Hustle and everyone's favorite felon since DMX fell off, T.I. So every year XXL magazine comes out with it's top 10 freshmen to watch for the next year in hip-hop. The results are often a mixed bag, two years ago Nipsey Hussle was in the top 10 and has yet to see a major label release and his buzz has quieted some, Wale took a label move to finally blow up, and while Big Sean and Mac Miller both released albums last year from their class, the results are

Album Review- Pusha T- Fear of God II

Look I thought this was another mixtape so I didn't even look at the track list. This is the album version of the mix tape though and it shows that much of the street release was good enough to be turned into a studio album in your stores. There are minimal changes if you already have it, but it's only right to show Push some official love.

French Montana

I have to say French Montana is probably the king of Worldstar. He has at least 2 videos of some sort every week whether or not he's just yapping or shooting another street video for yet another song.



I'm not a big fan of French because I don't think he is really that nice of a rapper but thats probably because he's constantly rapping and recording all the time. Now a lot of folks would say

NY Minute

Some people know or heard of this guy French Montana. Me, I only know of him through Worldstar and that he has beef with Jim Jones, makes Dvd's apparently titled Cocaine City (and he hasn't been indicted yet? He must be a liar or an idiot), and rolls with Max B. Seriously though, the song isn't bad at all. I haven't heard much of his stuff but he isn't the worse rapper though I don't know how

No Drake no....

Now I'm still undecided on whether or not I like Drake, dude is obviously talented as an artist of some sort. The question is where is he going to end up with his image, an average hip-hop/ r and b hybrid artist or a crossover mega-star.
